Kitchens are most definitely the hub of the home, the place we not only prepare meals but somewhere we gather to enjoy dining with family and friends. Many kitchens are now open-plan designs that combine practical elements with laid-back lounging to create the ultimate socialising spaces.
In tandem with the rise in popularity of kitchen/diners, we have also seen a surge in demand for open shelving, fewer wall cabinets and freestanding cabinetry that works for a variety of different configurations. One of the popular additions to kitchens in recent years is freestanding larder cupboards and we’re excited to have launched our very own collection. Read on to discover more about our brand-new larders.
Find the perfect stylish storage for your kitchen
Our solid hardwood larders are standalone pieces that offer endless storage space while dialling up the style credentials of your kitchen or dining room. All of our larders match with existing ranges – Bevel, Highgate, Romsey, St. Ives and Willow – so you can easily team them with other items for a cohesive feel that will really bring your look together.
Designed to provide multi-use storage, our larders feature in-built drawers, wine racks, hanging door shelving, and adjustable shelves to ensure you make the unit work for your needs.
All of our designs are available in a large size with double doors to offer maximum space, while the Bevel, Willow and St. Ives are also offered in a slim, single-door style that’s ideal for smaller kitchens.
Our larders come in a choice of modern styles or country-inspired farmhouse designs, with the option to go for a coordinated neutral colour palette, natural wood tones or a statement shade.
When it comes to our furniture, quality is just as important as style and our larders are no exception. Made from solid hardwood, these strong and sturdy items will be a kitchen fixture for years to come.
How to style and organise your larder
These covetable pieces also have plenty of scope to organise and style to your heart’s content, with Instagram and Pinterst offering inspiration galore. With space to keep all manner of foodstuffs including jars, tins, and more, it’s a good idea to group things together so you know exactly where everything is.
Use the shelves to team all your baking essentials together, group your breakfast favourites and keep your tasty snacks in glass jars to store them all in one place. The bottom shelf is the perfect spot for recipes books and larger items such as oils and sauces.
Along with spice racks that are wide enough for small jars and larger tins, there is ample room to keep your wine collection in the square racks that can also accommodate champagne bottles.
We’re so excited for you to discover these stylish larders that beautifully complement our cabinetry ranges. Plus, don’t forget to share your homes by tagging us at #OakFurnitureland on Instagram.
