The Kip chaise sofa bed comfortably seats three people by day and turns into a cosy double bed by night; simply pull the fabric handle under the sofa seat to reveal the bed base. The chaise end of this multi-purpose sofa lifts up to reveal a spacious storage compartment that's ideal for keeping spare bedding for your overnight guests. Upholstered in a woven mid-grey fabric that will complement a variety of colour schemes, this versatile sofa bed will look at home in a living room, spare room or even a spacious home office.

For a smooth delivery, this sofa has been designed to have some home assembly. Full instructions are supplied.

Kip is upholstered in a soft, durable flat-weave polyester fabric. We use polyester in our fabric upholstery for its durability and versatility.

Frame: The well-made sofa frame is constructed from timber and enhanced with springs and elastic webbing and comes with a lifetime guarantee.

Seat base: Serpentine springs provide strong seat suspension and help with even weight distribution.

Seat cushion: Foam fills the seat cushions.

Back support: Resilient and flexible elastic webbing provides support for the removable back cushions.

Back cushion: Plump polyester fibres fill the back cushions.

Feet: Plastic glides.

We choose our upholstery materials to look good, feel good, and to last. We make sofas for real homes where real life happens. Sofas for all sizes of home, all kinds of interior, and for all kinds of families.

Keep fabric upholstery looking good with regular vacuuming and dusting. Give real wood legs a polish. We stock a fabric care kit, with specialist products for general cleaning, and for old or resistant marks.

Sunlight

Sunlight can cause upholstery to fade. If your sofa is placed in a sunny part of the room, maybe draw the curtains at the sunniest times of day, or have a colourfast throw to shield the sofa from the strongest sunlight.

Sofas start with the frame. All of our sofa frames come with a lifetime guarantee, as we incorporate hardwood into every one and fix all joints with classic carpentry skills to prevent creaking.

Seat base. Serpentine springs spread the load of seat cushions. We use more than most manufacturers, giving a stronger base for support.

Seat cushions. Foam and fibre fillings are used in different ways across our ranges. Choose from styles with firmer comfort or cushions that are luxuriously soft.

Back cushions. Our sofas come in different styles. Tensioned webbing and superloop back springs support classic high back looks and pillow back cushions alike, fibre-filled for sink-in comfort.

Scatter cushions. Most of our sofas come with feather or fibre-filled scatter cushions. Made to match particular sofa ranges, they add that extra bit of comfort.

Really pleased with this sofa bed as it fitted the measurements of my fairly small lounge area and although it's firm it does soften with use. The most important thing is I can keep my feet up while watching TV!

Kip Sofabed Surprisingly there is no compromise here, this furniture is fantastically comfortable both as a bed & as a sofa. Really pleased with the quality. Looks smart & stylish. Fits loads of bedding in the chaise compartment. Slightly more challenging to put together than we thought & definitely a 2-person job. Only criticism is that it is a shame there is no colour choice
