Goodwood Style

Upholstered in durable, tactile fabric, the Goodwood 2-seater recliner has a modular design, meaning it is delivered in two parts that can be easily attached once unpacked in your room of choice. The electric reclining mechanism is easy to use, so all you have to do is sit back and press one button to lie down and another to be brought back up. Each arm also has a built-in USB port, so you can power down while your devices power up.

For a smooth delivery, this sofa has been designed to have some home assembly. Full instructions are supplied.

Our Goodwood range is upholstered in quality fabric that is both durable and soft to the touch. Rated for heavy domestic use, our upholstery is chosen with both style and function in mind, so we use various types of polyester, such as terylene, for their versatility and ability to withstand the tests of time and real life.

Frame: The frame features solid hardwood and comes with a lifetime guarantee. Joints are strongly fixed using classic carpentry skills, so you can relax and enjoy the support and comfort of a well-made piece of furniture.

Seat base: Serpentine springs are resilient and will bounce back time after time. Silent wire connects the springs and assists with even weight distribution.

Seat cushion: Pocket springs are wrapped in foam and polyester fibres to form soft and extremely supportive fixed seat cushions.

Back support: Serpentine springs spread weight evenly and keep the back cushions secure, providing comfort and support where it's needed most.

Back cushion: Filled with polyester fibres and designed to keep their shape, the fixed back cushions feel soft and luxurious to sink into.

Feet: Discreet glides protect the floor.

Keep fabric upholstery looking good with regular vacuuming and dusting. Give real wood legs a polish. We stock a fabric care kit, with specialist products for general cleaning, and for old or resistant marks.

Sunlight

Sunlight can cause upholstery to fade. If your sofa is placed in a sunny part of the room, maybe draw the curtains at the sunniest times of day, or have a colourfast throw to shield the sofa from the strongest sunlight.

Sofas start with the frame. All of our sofa frames come with a lifetime guarantee, as we incorporate hardwood into every one and fix all joints with classic carpentry skills to prevent creaking.

Seat base. Serpentine springs spread the load of seat cushions. We use more than most manufacturers, giving a stronger base for support.

Seat cushions. Foam and fibre fillings are used in different ways across our ranges. Choose from styles with firmer comfort or cushions that are luxuriously soft.

Back cushions. Our sofas come in different styles. Tensioned webbing and superloop back springs support classic high back looks and pillow back cushions alike, fibre-filled for sink-in comfort.

This has to be the most comfortable sofa that I have ever sat on..it is firm, yet soft and the electric recliner is quiet and effortless. It is so easy to nod off for a while, and the built in usb ports mean that you can be charging your appliance whilst doing so. 5*

This sofa is very comfortable and supportive, the reclining buttons are easy to use and work very smoothly. It seems like a good quality piece of furniture which I would have given five stars for except that I didn't realise that it was delivered in two pieces and I had to put it together myself. Very happy with my settee and armchair. However, not very happy with the delivery - they were going to bring the unassembled items indoors and leave them in their very large boxes - I am elderly so I said to the men, how am I supposed to unpack them on my own, they grudgingly helped me unpack them and assembled them but I gave them a good tip for their trouble but this should be as a matter of course, especially as they were expensive items and I assumed they would arrive already assembled
