Furniture Guard

The Hastings range is upholstered exclusively in soft, real leather that is buffed before being dyed. This ensures the leather is protected against scratches and looks the same across the range. Colour-matched stitching provides a subtle accent.

Frame: The frame features solid hardwood and comes with a lifetime guarantee. Joints are strongly fixed using classic carpentry skills, so you can relax and enjoy the support and comfort of a well-made piece of furniture.

Seat base: A combination of serpentine springs and strong elastic webbing provide ample support.

Seat cushion: The fixed seat cushions are filled with foam that's been wrapped in soft polyester fibres, resulting in firm yet extremely comfortable seating.

Back support: Strong elastic webbing and serpentine springs work together to provide quality back support.

Back cushion: The fixed back cushions are filled with resilient foam that's been wrapped in soft polyester fibres.

Feet: Protective glides.

Leather

We choose our upholstery materials to look good, feel good, and to last. We make sofas for real homes. They’re sofas that look good where real life happens. Sofas for all kinds of interior, for all kinds of families.

Our leather sofas are covered in leather all over, including sides and back. Most of our upholstery is corrected grain leather. This is leather that’s been treated to have a uniform surface, but still keeps its natural look.

Keep your leather upholstery looking good with regular dusting and a light polish. We have a leather care kit available with a soft cleaner and leather protection cream.

Sunlight can cause leather upholstery to fade. If your sofa is placed in a sunny part of the room, maybe draw the curtains at the sunniest times of day, or have a colourfast throw to shield the sofa from the strongest sunlight. Heat from radiators can cause leather to crack. Make sure there’s enough air circulating between a radiator and leather furniture.

Sofas start with the frame. All of our sofa frames come with a lifetime guarantee, as we incorporate hardwood into every one and fix all joints with classic carpentry skills to prevent creaking.

Seat base. Serpentine springs spread the load of seat cushions. We use more than most manufacturers, giving a stronger base for support.

Seat cushions. Foam and fibre fillings are used in different ways across our ranges. Choose from styles with firmer comfort or cushions that are luxuriously soft.

Back cushions. Our sofas come in different styles. Tensioned webbing and superloop back springs support classic high back looks and pillow back cushions alike, fibre-filled for sink-in comfort.

Scatter cushions. Most of our sofas come with feather or fibre-filled scatter cushions. Made to match particular sofa ranges, they add that extra bit of comfort.

Couldn't be happier. Very attentive service, I like that. Nothing worse than being ignored and then the ensuing head hunting, looking for someone who looks like staff but rarely is.. Everyone's been there. This was a relaxing way to shop and as such, deserves credit for providing the experience. Immediate recognition by staff is just good manners by them. As I'm a guest in their store, it's nice to be greeted and offered assistance -should it be required. Then they leave you alone, to browse in piece. I like that. Instant help the moment we required it and then the process of purchasing was fast, efficient and very professional. Delivery, whilst not particularly cheap, did exactly as promised efficiently and on time. Although I can't complain -it did include unboxing, assembly, removal of all packaging and cleanup. A quality outfit and the convenience of having their guys set up properly, resulting in my stunning new recliner. Many thanks!
