Marlow 2 Seater Electric Recliner Sofa in Keswick Dove Fabric

I’m very pleased with my new sofa. It’s very comfortable, and the added usb point is a bonus. The only thing is that the material is a little rough and itchy! Also, why are all these comfy recliners in neutral colours and not bright colourful fabrics, as with other styles of sofas? It’s a shame that at a certain age one has to opt for comfort over colour! I’m still very pleased with it though and hope it will last for many relaxing years to come.

Having looked at the available options from a variety of different manufacturers, I decided that this most closely matched what I was looking for. My local store had the settee and chairs on display, so I was able to get hands on experience before parting with my cash. They were every bit as good as they appeared on the website. The comfort, build quality and price were well ahead of the competition, so I purchased the two seater electric recliner settee and two electric recliner armchairs. They were delivered earlier than the quoted timescale. Service from the sales staff was also excellent, so I can’t fault them on any aspect. Worth noting is that the armchairs and settee are wider than they look. I didn’t measure my home to check they’d fit, as I was replacing a two seater settee and two armchairs with the same combination, so I just assumed they’d fit ok. They do…but only just! If I’d ordered a three seater settee, there’s no way they’d have fitted, so get the measuring tape out before you purchase. The only other thing worthy of note is that when the armchairs are significantly reclined, if you sit up and lean forwards (such as if your doorbell rang and you didn’t have time to reset the chair into a normal seating position before getting up), the chair is likely to tip forwards, although the extended leg rest doesn’t actually touch the floor to risk being damaged. I was really surprised by this, as they’re heavy chairs. It’s only really an issue under the circumstances described and isn’t likely to tip under any other circumstances.

We are happy with the sofa but surprised that it was delivered and left packaged in cartons and needed a certain amount of assembly. As a couple in our 70s we would have liked warning that some heavy lifting would be required. The assembly and packaging description states it is in 1 part. It is not and it requires two strong people to assemble it.
